PiIP face to face ATOS vaxhul medical centre was created by sam
Hi. I guess this is the first time I participate in this forum after being a member for the last 4 years. 3 years ago I was refused ESA with zero point by ATOS and where I appealed and in the court I got over 18 point and recommendation by the judge for being in support group for 2 years. I guess I was then able to apply for PIP for my incontinence which have got points by court and my degenerative disc disease on my neck and lower back then, but I did not until now. 10 months ago I applied for PIP and a week ago had my face to face with ATOS in vaxhul MEDICAL CENTER. I was send a taxi as could not teravel by public transport, and taken to the centre. It took me 1 hour 45 minutes to arrive there, and waited 25 minutes to be seen. I had a company with me which helped alot in facing the test. It went quite good. the examiner told me that she does not need to examine me physically even her specialty is phisical examination, and that as my asthma and copd is so sever that I can not even walk for 2 metres there is no need for that. and asked me to leave and she will report it to DWP. I would like to ask you if I need to send any more evidence now? As am still going to hospital and have more upcoming surgeries that they are not aware of that. And I need to know if I get the Pip what changes happens to my esa payments? any extra on my £136 a week that I get already?. Thanks for your help. I used most of your advice on this site and am sure it helped me to fill my forms and deal with face to face appointment. It is the best place to get help as far as I know. keep up with your good work.

PIP Decisions are now taking more than 8 weeks.
There is no need for you to send further evidence but you will have to inform them about the surgery when it happens, please be aware, the DWP always assume positive result from surgery and a reduction in limitation which may not actually occur, I think there is a good chance that they will reassess your claim once you have recovered.
If you receive a Daily Living award AND your are receiving Income Related ESA in whole or in part AND you live alone or are considered to be living alone AND no one claims Carers Allowance for you, then you should be eligible for the Severe Disability Premium (£61.85 per week) to be added to your ESA.
You already appear to be receiving the Enhanced Disability Premium (aka Disability Income Guarantee), but if not and you receive an Enhanced Daily Living award AND you are receiving ESA(IR) then it would be an extra £15.75.
