Hi,
I've made an error in that I've left my Capability For Work Questionnaire literally till the last minute before I send it. I have to have it in by 5th July and the only way this will be guaranteed is if it is delivered actually ON the deadline date (it will be sent the day before via Special Delivery).
I am unsure if I should explain this in the 'If you are returning this form late' section as it technically won't reach them later than the deadline date - just on the day itself. Special Delivery is guaranteed to deliver before 1pm also (usually much earlier).
Am I obliged to fill in this box or just ignore it? I don't wish to appear to the DWP as though I'm ambivalent about the form - I genuinely have had difficulties applying myself to it due to fatigue and chronic anxiety - hence why it will be sent much later than I'd planned. I obviously don't want to run the risk of being sanctioned but I also don't want to 'drop myself in it' should I not need to either.
If anyone can help by the end of Sunday 3rd July (I realise this is remote), I'd be hugely appreciative.

If you are sending it on Monday with Next Day delivery so that it arrives on Tuesday 5 July and this is the day that it has to be returned to Maximus by then it will not be late and there is no reason to complete that section of the form. However, filling in this part of the form won't "drop you in it", so it's really up to you, you can always say; if this form is late then this would be the reason...
Don't leave it too late to go to your local Post Office there is a cut-off time for Next Day delivery, it's 4pm at my PO but may be different at yours.
