No esa payments received at all was created by Joanne
Hi is my first post on this board so I'm not sure how to post really. I received a letter on may 18th to say I would be paid the assessment rate from may 18th and to send in sick certificate which I did. I heard nothing from them. The next certificate was due June 30th so I sent that off and still have heard nothing. I have received no esa50 to fill in. I have had no money whatsoever paid in to my bank. Anyone got any idea how long to wait for first payment to go in and if they should of acknowledged receipt of my sick certificates. I have had no communication at all other than the initial phone call to apply followed by the letter to say I would be getting the assessment rate from may 18th. It's nearly 2 months since that and not a penny received. I don't want to phone them if that is a normal wait for money and the esa50. I get really anxious on phones so I don't want to ring them if it's not needed. Thanks for any help.

Hi Joanne,
Although it is common to wait some time for the ESA50 form, you should not have been waiting all this time for payment. It usually takes just a few days to get the claimant onto the system and start a case file, payment should then follow quite quickly.
I'm afraid the only way you will sort this out is to contact DWP. As long as you are present and give the initial security information, someone else should then be able to take over from you if you would find the call too upsetting.
You might want to bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future. This will allow you to return with further questions or comments during the ESA process without having to start a new topic each time. It helps us enormously when everything relating to the same claim is kept in one place - and I hope you will find it useful too
