PIP claims in relation to communication disorders was created by Christina
Does anyone have any experience of challenging unfavourable PIP decisions that have been made in regard to individuals with communication disorders such as developmental speech and language disorder, specific and complex language difficulties etc
I am very concerned that the process is extremely discriminatory in regard to individuals with cognitive impairments of this nature both in terms of the assessment processes and the knowledge of the HPs and case managers making the decisions
I am struggling to find any relevant information and/or case law that would assist an appeal
Thank you

The following has details of the current case law for PIP
www.disabilityrightsuk.org/how-we-can-he...s/case-law-summaries
You can also search the UTT database
www.osscsc.gov.uk/Aspx/default.aspx
You should read any Decision you might want to use very carefully, UTT Decision usually cover very specific circumstances which may not be applicable to yours.
