RE: heard nothing??? was created by AlexG
Hi Everybody,
My first time.
I suffer from severe Arthritis in my lower spine, two disks removed from my neck and trapped nerves in my lower spine, footdrop, ciatica, diabetes and anxiety and depression.
I am trying to get on with things, however I recieved a form from ESA and after going thru this site with my partner as I find it quite difficult to fill these forms in, it gets me upset and anxious.
I sent the form away that was about 3 months ago recorded delivery and I have not heard anything at all from the ESA, my partner tells me bit to worry but I can't help it.
How long should it take to hear back from them???
I am on the top group for esa about 3-4 years and I have also got top rate mobility lower rate care.
Any information would be very helpful. Should we call them or not. My benefits are all fine and I have had no issue so far.
Kind Regards

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Purp
There are still considerable delays in parts of the country for ESA assessments to do be done.
One practical thing that you can do is to phone Maximus to see if they can give you an update

The important thing to take away is that your ESA will remain in payment at the current rate until a new Decision is made so in some ways it's to your advantage not be seen too soon.

Hi Purp
It has been 14 weeks since my reassessment form was returned to Maximus. I`m in Bristol area.
I know its really stressful waiting but i take heart that my ESA is still being paid.
Try not to worry too much
Best wishes

Hi Gordon,
Thanks for that, I really don't want to contact them as I'm a mess on the phone.
I have been on the ESA for four years and PIP for two I've had the PIP assessment and as mentioned I was granted that until 2018. However now it's the ESA that sent out the ESA 50 form. We filled it in and sent it away. (with the help of this brilliant site)
I've been told by my specialist at the hospital that they have exhausted treatment and it's going to be this bad for ever.
I live in Glasgow and not aware of any problems. I guess I'll just wait and see as last time they just put me straight into the top group without a medical.
Thanks
