ESA While Still Working was created by BJ
Would it be possible to apply for ESA and still be working (8hrs/week, within the amount guidelines for permitted work) or should the application go through on the basis of having stopped all work? Am self-employed, minimal savings, cancer treatment starting soon, but need sufficient income to cover house bills (electricity/water/ etc) until higher rate ESA & any possible PIP comes through? Thank you for all your help

It's certainly possible, you will need to disclose the work from the outset and the DWP will decide whether it meets the PW rules and is not at odds with your reasons for claiming ESA.
