This morning, I have received notice to attend an ESA reassessment at 2.30pm, Monday 1st August. On Tuesday 2nd of August I will be 65 years of age therefore ineligible for ESA.
Not sure whether to turn up for the hell of it and see if they make the connection.

As fun as it might be, Maximus overbook their appointments so you cancelling may mean that another claimant is seen when they otherwise might not of been. I'd also contact the DWP to make sure that they know.
