I am awaiting a decision about renewing my ESA. I have submitted medical evidence. In the meantime I have been asked to make a claim for PIP as me DLA is ending. Do I need to provide additional medical evidence for this claim, or is it the responsibility of DWP to request this medical evidence. Many thanks.

Your PIP Claim is entirely separate from your ESA one, you need to complete the form in detail and submit any relevant evidence.

The DWP have no legal obligation to seek additional medical evidence and rarely do.

Please refer to our PIP Claim guide for help in completing the PIP.
