New claimant support group thank you!

Thank you so much to everyone at Benefits and Work. I put in a claim for ESA this March for the first time. I have just heard that I have been put into the Support group without a F2F.

When I started the process I found it very confusing and stressful to navigate. Finding B&W bought both clarity and reduced my sense of being isolated. I followed the guides carefully and asked CAB to look over my application.

This morning there was an extra payment of just over £200 in my bank account. From reading the forum I wondered if I had been placed in one of the groups. I phoned in and was told that I have been placed in the Support Group.

I also found out in early July that I have been granted an ill health pension, but I do not know the exact figure yet as they haven't done the calculations. I know that my ESA will be reduced, but I will still get around £50/60 a week and the valuable N.I. credits. Thank you so much!

If you wish to know when to expect reassessment, you can contact DWP and ask for the 'prognosis'. Although this is only advisory, DWP do seem to keep to it on the whole.
