can i ask does anyone know if you lose pip and motability car and then get the payment from motability if you then go to appeal and win back your award do you have to hand back to motability the payment they gave you before you can rejoin the scheme

If you receive £2000 from Motability then you have to be outside of the scheme for more than six months, otherwise you have to give back £1750. If it's more than six months you don't have to give the money back..

I don't know what amount you would have to give back if you receive less than £2000; maybe other members could tell you this.

My husband is in this situation and today got a very detailed letter and booklet from Motability outlining his options regarding the scheme. As sweet has said if you go back into the scheme within 6 months you have to repay most of the money. He has to return his Motability car by 6th September so we are hoping he hears the outcome of his MR before then and it is decided in his favour.
It's such a worrying time and I hope you don't find yourself in this situation.
