I'm afraid I don't know, we don't advise on Incapacity Benefit only ESA. Try and get face to face advice, do an internet search for "welfare advice" with your postcode, town or county.

Hi Gordon you say we do not advise on incapacity benefit yet you have a section heading on it along with all the other benefit titles and when you go into it there is lots of advice on it.If you do not give advise on it the link should not be there surely. Many Thanks

Our primary aim on the forum is to help claimants with their entitlement to ESA, DLA and PIP, we try to help with eligibility questions for these and other benefits as we can but this requires the Moderators to be familiar with the legislation which is not always possible. There have been no new claims for Incapacity Benefit since 2009.
All of the information is related to Incapacity Benefit claimants being transferred to ESA which should have been completed some two years ago.
I'm sorry but it is simply not an area that the Moderators have knowledge of.
