PIP assessment at home was created by Cash1204
I have recently completed my PIP reassessment form even though it wasn't due I thought until next year. I duly sent in the form and within a couple of weeks have now been notified of the date of my reassessment on 22 August. This all seems very quick based on my previous experience. The face to face is to take place at my home. I didn't ask for a home visit and would have been happy with me going somewhere as I'm not really comfortable about them being in my home. Im sure they're doing it with my best interests at heart but a home visit will add to my anxiety and stress of the whole experience. Can I ask them to change the location say to suitable neutral ground? I don't have anything to hide but the prospect of a stranger in the house, trying to keep my dogs under control etc etc seems too much for me at the moment. Anyone have any ideas?

I think it likely that the Assessment Provider will assume that you can attend at there offices if you ask for a neutral location, plus where would that actually be in practical terms, I would think that only a relative's or friend's home would be an alternative.
