Hi Im currently off work with fibromyalgia , I know the company will finish me up soon ,I can claim ESA but will it stop after so long as my husband works full time Thanks
It will depend on whether you have paid sufficient NI Contribution in the two Tax Years 2013-14 and 2014-15.
If you have then you can make a claim for Contribution Based ESA, if you are placed in the WRAG after assessment then this will only be payable for 365 days, if you are placed in the Support Group then there is no time limit.
If you do not have sufficient Contributions then you can only claim Income Related ESA, however, if your husband is working full time then you will not be entitled to any payment and will just receive NI Credits that count towards a Full State Pension.
