Got a letter today inviting me to claim pip as my DLA claim is due to end in October. I am really nervous as I have heard so much about pip.
I am currently claiming DLA and I am getting high rate carers and low rate mobility, since I claimed DLA 5 years ago I have worsened 100%, but I am still scared to claim pip.

Hi Sueq andWelcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

I am sorry you are going through this, I know it can be terribly stressful :(

Now that you have been 'invited' to claim PIP you really have no choice as your DLA would be stopped if you do not initiate the PIP claim in the time-frame given by DWP.

Our PIP guide explains the whole process, right from your first phonecall through to appeal if necessary. Please make good use of it

hi had my pip assessment just got my assessment report back and noticed a couple of pages are missing, also that the assessor never put all the information on report even though I took them with me, and medication was missing of report.
she also lied a lot on the report, even though I got points I don't think I was awarded enough point for the descriptors she down scored me quite a lot.
has anyone ever been awarded more points by the DM over ruling the nurse whome done the medical,
awaiting my formal decision from decision maker really worried as I think I was delibretly marked down she never put a lot of my new illnesses in report even though we spoke quite a bit about them and just stuck to the depression carnt belive these people get away with all these lies they tell and get away with it.
thankyou sue

Hi Sueq,

I have merged your query with the other topic relating to your PIP claim. It helps us enormously when everything relating to the same issue is kept in the same topic.

It is possible for the DM to award more, or fewer, points than the assessor suggested, although it doesn't happen often.

When you have the decision letter you will then have 1 month in which to submit a request for a Mandatory Reconsideration. The process is described in the PIP guide.

When you have further questions or comments relating to your PIP, at any stage in the process, please respond to this message and we will do our best to help. You will find it easily in future if you bookmark/favourite it on your web browser now :)
