Husband or advocate to PIP interview? was created by hippyhappy
Hi, I have my PIP appt very soon. My hubs is taking me there but I have an independent advocate meeting me there and coming into my appointment with me. My hubs thinks he should come in with me but the advocate does this all the time and he is familiar with the process. But he doesn't know me and my diffculties like my hubs does.
I just want this over. This is truly making me ill.

There is no specific limitation on the number of people you can have in the room when you have your assessment, you might want to phone the Assessment Provider to warn them if you want both your husband and the advocate in the room.
If you decide to only take one, then it will have to be your decision, there are advantages and disadvantages to both.

Thank you,
I might get my hubs to phone them tomorrow.....but he is working. He might only be able to phone them on the morning of the assessment. My advocate said that it might be ok if we just ask on the day.
