hi
I have my ESA Cap for Work Interogation in early Sept.
i had 2 ESA medicals a couple of years back, when my mental health was not good and I was supported by a mental health charity for a few years. They went to appeal and we won with support.
My mental health has improved, but I now suffer from a few life long term physical problems. I am not as physically or mentally challanged as some. I no longer get support. And will have no one to go with me (no family, friend or support worker)
Is it still ok to ask for the the meeting to be recorded?
I think my doctor said no to a medical note, should i try again, before my session, prob too late though?
many thanks
zoe

Yes you can still ask for the WCA to be recorded, there is a template letter that you can use in the ESA Claim guides, a Word version in the ESA section.
It's always worth asking your GP for a report, you might want to mention that as you now have an assessment booked it is very unlikely that they will now contact them directly.

Having anxiety, I am a little bit worried about annoying them, but I know it will go to appeal and need back up record as my memory is wonky and i wont be able to take notes, as long as I say the right things.
Ty about the dr tip...one said they would not because they said "the benefits would ask them."
many thanks

I sent the preformer request for a recording by email to CHKD (Centre for Health and Disability Assessments). They have replied, saying
Dear Zoe
Thank you for your email. I’ve forwarded your request to have your assessment recorded to our Bristol offices.
regards ....
Do you think I should follow this up with a phone call to the Bristol office, to make sure its going a head? Not lost in the communication chain.

Hi Zoe,
Yes, it is worth checking with the assessment centre to make sure the message has got through.
