PIP face to face 1st September for mental health was created by benion
I have been on indefinite DLA but now being changed to PIP.
Despite me explaining a F2F was totally inappropriate as it will cause a further deterioration in MH, they have decided to send me to an assessment centre 30 miles from home.
I hopefully have a friend coming, but he is yet to confirm he can make it.
I will be recording the session.
I am really worried about it and very upset.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

I'm sorry, I know that you are really struggling with this
Are you planning to record the assessment in secret, or are you going to use 2 recording devices?

I am using 2 tape recording devices and notifying them of this beforehand.

Same here, I wasn't required an assessment for renewal of ESA due to aggressive behaviour but I am for PIP?
Should I get someone to contact them?
Good luck at your assessment

Yes, you need to inform them in advance if you are going to record them.
Start sourcing the cassette based recording devices early. It is no mean feat getting hold of them as all recorders nowadays are digital.
I have my recorders but going Maplin now for the cassette tapes.
My advocate has cancelled on me at the last minute, so going with ex husband now.
