Do you still find out if you are put in support group at the esa assessment or is it only by post now

Hi and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

The assessors only make recommendations, it is DWP who make the final decision. Therefore it is not possible to give the claimant the decision on the day of assessment. DWP seems to be taking 2-4 weeks to make a decision once the file has been returned to them by Maximus.

The assessor doesn't make the Decision so they can never tell the claimant what, if any, group they are in.

You will be told in writing by the DWP.

Thanks , its just last time 3 years ago I was told on the day that I was in the support group and a letter would be in the post which it was . Things must of change since then.
