So that is actually less than 12 months. I provided 96 pieces of medical evidence but desire having reports ATOS said they treid to get in touch with mental health team with no success. I only found out when the mental health professional asked if I knew the surname of the person at 'DWP' who had left a message but they couldn't ring them back as only first name? Is this what has gone against me. I cannot face going through this whole process again in a few months. I don't want an MR. Is this the only way to challenge length of award?
One year awards do happen although we don't see them very often on the forum. The award length should be a refection in part of the conditions but primarily the likelihood of change, this could be worse as well as better.
There's no way to challenge the length of the award except through an MR and the few members who have tried it have been unsuccessful and I have seen similar results on other forums.
My best advice is to separate the award from when you will be renewed, I know this won't be easy, at the moment next September may only seem a "few" months away, but it's not, it's a lot of months away! Even though those who achieve an Enhanced award for both will, after a brief period of celebration, have a down period as they think about what they had to go through to get their award, it's human nature. The important thing is that you have an award and you don't need to do anything more about it today, tomorrow, the next day...
