When I rang them and explained I am unable to work I was advised that someone would contact me on Monday and it might be possible to sort it out over the phone as they just needed to update their records, anyone else experienced this?
It's quite normal for the partner of the main claimant to be asked to attend a Work Focussed Interview, they can't make you work or even to seek work so it's usually just a case of attending and answering a few questions. If you can sort it out over the phone then even better but don't be surprised if they insist that you attend.

Eva wrote: Thank you Gordon. I have been a bit worried about it because husband needs me to look after him and I cannot work due to various problems with my own health. If they say I have to attend what should I expect?
Just questions abut what they can do to help you if you wanted / were able to work.

I am not sure what group I am in, I used to be asked for doctors notes stating I was unfit for work every few months for a few years but the dwp stopped requesting these some time ago, they just say it is a joint claim, not sure why requests for doctors sick notes stopped, any ideas?
If you have a joint claim with you husband as the main claimant then you are not in either of the ESA groups, only he is, as a result you do not need to provide Fit Notes.
