Claiming PIP

He wanted to try for PIP (he hasn't before, as he was unaware he could).
To cut a long story short, he received his forms, took them to his local CAB, and was told he probably wouldn't get it, as you have to be disabled 50% of the time, is this right? It doesn't mention this when you send off for the forms!
CAB didn't fill the forms with him, and now he doesn't know whether to apply or not.
Menieres is a chronic condition, with no real cure.
Would there be any other help with filling in forms other than the CAB?
Thanks

It's not quite that black and white but you do need to be unable to complete the various PIP activities on the majority of days (e.g. more than 50%) to have any chance of scoring points, have a look at our PIP Claim guide for more information.
