MINIMUM NOTIFICATION PERIOD FOR INVITATION TO WCA was created by texox
Hello, is there a minimum time period requirement for invitations to ESA F2F / WCA's?
Even practically speaking people can't be told they have to attend an appointment e.g. the next day (well in this instance a few days more but less than a week)?
That doesn't even allow time to prepare let alone find someone to accompany the person.
Also in this context - how/where to find a so called McKinsey friend at short avail.?
As matter of urgency, prompt responses/ advice regarding the above questions would be much appreciated!
Many thanks!

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
The Assessment Providers are required to give claimants 7 days written notice of an appointment, although this does include postage time.
As to the Friend. Try an internet search for "welfare advice" with your postcode, town or county, failing that you can try contacting any charities that support your conditions and finally your GP practice they should have a list of local volunteer groups.
The Friend can also be a relative or friend.

Thanks ever so much,
somehow the links don't work on my pc as it constantly asks to login again.
Would you mind posting a link where the statutory/regs regarding "The Assessment Providers are required to give claimants 7 days written notice of an appointment" can be found.
Unfortunately neither friends and family are available...
