ESA payments going to monthly payments from Monday was created by phil100
I've just been told by a friend that her ESA was not paid today because the DWP is going to be doing monthly payments from this Monday 7th November.
I can find no information about it, but based on my friends experience today it seems real.
She was not informed by the DWP about this change, nor have I been.

I am not aware of any changes to ESA payments and if there were then the DWP would have been obligated to notify all ESA claimants well in advance of it happening.
If I had to guess I would say the call centre staff were making it up as the go!.
Your friend needs to call them again.

Hi Gordon. Just to back up your reply. I received a DWP ESA letter today. States money will be paid every 2 weeks for as long as you are entitled.
