Apart from the fact we were totally unprepared for this question, completely flummoxed and gave a wild guess, does anyone know just WHY he was asking. He seemed determined to get a figure from us and really pushed us for an answer - we guestimated 5,000 miles a year - as it turns out her average is over 7,000. But what relevance does this have for PIP? Is it better to be low or high mileage? Should others be aware of this possibility.
The DWP and assessors make assumptions about a claimants capabilities if they drive, concentration, dexterity, leg strength, ability to go out, etc., the more miles they drive the more likely the assumptions are to be reasonable.
