I was getting DLA for a number of years and had the use of a mobility car which my wife used to drive me. When I was assessed for pip I got nothing so the car had to go back and I was given a £2000.00 which was supposed to help us after losing the car and there is a remark to say that after receiving that amount you couldn't be considered for another car for 6 months. I asked pip for a mandatory reconsideration and have now been awarded standard rate care and enhanced rate mobility so I would like another mobility car but if I asked for one right away presumably I have to pay all or most of the £2000.00 back or if I waited the 6 months which would be April I would not have to pay any back , does anyone know anything about this has it happened to them.
