Hi
Can anyone provide me with advice on completing PIP form for my son
I am his appointee he is 24 years old and has been on DLA lower rate I am now going to apply for PIP but concerned about if he will get this
He suffers with depression however he is working on an apprenticeship at the moment
I am new to this site I have read some very positive reviews so would appreciate any advice people can give me
I have asked for a supporting letter from his ADHD psychiatrist and have reports from works doctor
I am concerned that when my son has his PIP interview he can come across as being articulate however it is before he goes and when he comes back he will be very agitated and stressed which they will not take into account

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

Start by having a look at our PIP Claim guide, in particular the sections that cover "reliably" and "on the majority of days, the latter is covered under fluctuating conditions.

www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/help-for-claimants/pip

They won't be looking directly at the ADHD but the limitations that result from it and prevent him from completing each of the PIP activities. You task is to explain those limitations.

Take the PIP Descriptors as they are printed, you need to bring his problems to the Descriptors and not the other way around.

If you have further questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.
