How The Disability Affects You Claim Form was created by andrewchapman
I was wondering if somebody could offer me advice.
I have just had the Claim form for PIP sent through. (PIP 1003 - 40 pages)
I had a Stroke at the age of 13 in 1979.
I am now 50 years Old
I haven't worked for 10 years.
Yes I will send all of the Information regarding my health
e.g. Letter from GP, Letter from Neorology and Physiotherapists
A list of Medication.
Is there anything else I can provide, I would be grateful for any replies.
Many Thanks,
Andrew Chapman

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
The PIP criteria are very different from the DLA ones. In addition, PIP was deliberately made harder to get. I suggest you have a good read of our PIP guide before starting to complete the PIP2 form
PIP help for claimants
You can submit anything you have that could be helpful - the more things refer to the PIP descriptors, the more helpful they will be. This can include letters from medics, therapists, friends or family. Don't rely on DWP to contact anyone whose evidence could be useful as they rarely do so!
May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your PIP without having to start a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it helps us enormously - and I hope you will find it useful too
