Hi,

I have recently married and wondering if my husband would be eligible to claim carers allowance for me?

I'm in receipt of cb ESA and DLA.
He is self employed

Thank you

Hi suzie,

Your husband can only claim Carers' Allowance for you if he can meet the following conditions -

No-one else can be claiming this allowance for giving you care.

He must be caring for you for at least 35 hours per week.

He can earn no more than £110 per week after tax and certain other deductions

If you have further questions about this, please reply to this message and we will do our best to help :)
