Please help

i would like advice on completing PIP Mandatory Reconsiderations

as i would like to ask them to reconsider their decision but i do not wish to go to the next stage which is the appeals process.

do i just need to write a letter and include the planning and following journeys as i was only awarded 4 points. or can i only do this at the appeals stage?

Hi and Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

Yes, you need to explain to DWP exactly how/why you believe you should have scored points against the relevant descriptor/s.

Have a look at our PIP guide. It explains the process and the criteria against which you are being assessed.

PIP help for claimants

I'm afraid MR's do not often do anything other than 'rubber stamp' the original decision, but we do have members who have been successful at this stage.

May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your PIP without having to start a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it helps us enormously - and I hope you will find it useful too :)

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
