Appeal

My question is do I attend or not if I've sent the required evidence and paper work . Will it still be heard fairly and quicker if I'm not there. I can't see any point of me going if all they needed was evidence.
Thanks for your help it's been invaluable

Statistically, appeals are around 4 times more likely to succeed if the claimant appears in person.
However, you should consider whether attending might not be in your favour if you hope to score points because you do not leave your home or cannot tolerate mixing with other people.

The payment of SDP is dependant on your living alone, so if the DWP believe that your daughter is living you during her holidays then they need to know about this!

helen wrote: Hi finally got my money sorted out well the weekly total that is. Which is nearly double my fortnightly payment. I have notice that they are paying me Disability Income Guarantee which I've never had before . Is this because I get the enhanced rate of pip? Now waiting for my back pay which they said had to go to another office because it's so much but they didn't say when I should get it . Thank you for keeping me sane the pass couple of months without your help i would of given up and excepted what the DWP say.
Yes, the Disability Income Guarantee, also known as the Enhanced Disability Premium is paid because the claimant is receiving PIP Enhanced Daily Living.
Back payments are usually sort in a couple of weeks even if they have to get authorisation because of the amount.
Are you receiving the SDP?
