Hi Everyone,
Just thought that I'd update you, with regards to my husbands PIP claim. He received his decision letter today and it was fantastic news! He has been awarded enhanced rate care and enhanced rate mobility. While he has been claiming DLA he was awarded higher rate care, lower rate mobility, so his entitlement has been increased. He also received a letter about his claim for ESA, which I think, is the result of the form he completed, which from what I can make out, will remain unchanged. But I am a little confused as it staes between April 17 and November 17? So both letters came today, how bizarre!
Anyway, all that aside, this website and the mediators on here do an absolutely fantastic job. I feel without your guids and advice, it could have been a whole different story. Worth every penny of the membership and more. You put things into laymans terms and help ordinary people understand the jargon. I have always recommend this site and will continue to do so!
Thank you all so much
Lauren

Many congratulations on the award.
The DWP have had to re-issue the annual ESA entitlement letters, yours sounds like it is one of these rather than a Decision Letter, I would check with the DWP.
Thank you for your comments.

Thanks Gordon!
So do you think that the DWP are still looking at my hubby's ESA claim, even though it says something about November? They don't like to make things easy for us ordinary people, do they?
By the way you are more than welcome to use my comments regarding your fabulous website in your news letter
Regards
Lauren

I'm afraid the references to April and November makes me think that it is the re-issued Entitlement Letter.

I will more than likely give the DWP a call then. But if I don't get around to it, surly they will be in touch with him won't they?

Yes, if no Decision has been made then they will contact him for a face to face assessment or notify him that one is not required.
