Hello I went to a WRI on "3/2/17 & have not heard anything back so far, but I have received a letter from the DWP. It says They have looked at my claim again following a recent change.
From the 10th April the rates of some Social Security benefits may change.
From the 25th February Your ESA will be (& the rate they show is the same as before ?)
This is because of: a decision on your capability for work. You have been placed in the support Group.
On the back page it says these rates are aplicable from 25th February until 14th April, is this how long I am in the support group for ? sorry but I am confused as there is no time scale as to when I have to have another WRI?
Is this decision from the recent meeting? I was already in the support group. If this is the decision why is there no dates from to etc?
Things always get confusing at this time of year as the annual 'uprating' letters are being sent out, giving details of ESa payments for the next year. The only way you will know whether this is an uprating letter or decision letter is to contact DWP and ask.
ESA is an open-ended award, so there are no end dates on the decision letters. You can find out when to expect reassessment by asking DWP for the 'prognosis' from your computer file.
