Pip review form was created by catherine4859
Hi
I am struggling to fill in my PIP review form I don't understand the rule change regarding managing treatments and monitoring a health condition, would this include taking daily medication as I often forget. My hospital monitor my health conditions in clinic every 3 months. I have read the help notes but still I do not understand, could someone please explain in more simple terms please.
Thanks in advance

Before the change, PIP used the term "therapy" to cover both therapy in the accepted form and the taking and application of medicine.
First of all the change separates these two into separate definitions.
Descriptor (b) is modified to include medication as well as therapy. The other Descriptors are not changed and continue to only refer to therapy.
What this means is that claimants can no only score points against Descriptor (b) if they require assistance with the taking or application of medication, they need to be receiving therapy to score points for the other Descriptors.
I hope this explains it.
