Failed esa assesment. attend jobcentre sign on was created by iccsmate
Hi. my esa has been discontinued after having a negative assessment of which i am going to appeal against using mandatory reconsideration and later tribunal if needs be.
Meanwhile i released i had 0 income. i also released the only benefit i can claim at this point is jsa up until the point of reaching appeal at tribunal after which it returns to esa at a reduced rate. ( I think that right? im i right about that?)
sorry to ask this but im a little bit not right in the head sometimes as so my friends keep on telling me.
I have major problems getting out of the house alone i would for most of the time need someone to travel to the jobcentre with me. instead of going ever two weeks to sign on until tribunal date arrives can i request i sign on by post or some form of communication?
I once had a friend some years ago who lived out in the sticks. he used to sign on by signing his job search every two weeks and sending to the jobcentre.
Im not sure how the heck im going to manage sighing on when my friends is not available to go to the jobcentre with with.

If you claim JSA then it would be a full claim for the benefit, you may be able to negotiate a restricted Claimant Commitment, but if you are unable to meet the DWP's minimum requirements then they can refuse your claim.
However, if you are able to claim JSA, once your claim is accepted and in payment then you can supply a Fit Note and be excused from any Job Search requirement for up to 13 weeks.
You can switch back to ESA if you go to appeal.
