F2F assessment PIP

I have taken a lot of advice from on here for filling in the PIP form and had my dreaded assessment today and I have to say the lady was lovely and I was in and out within three quarters of an hour. I was only in the actual assessment for about 25 mins so not sure if that's a good or bad sign. I suppose I will just have to wait for the brown envelope to drop through the letter box.
I have not made a claim before so all this was very new to me, so for anyone out there in the same situation, it really wasn't as bad as I had expected. I will keep you posted on the outcome good or bad. Thank you for your invaluable advice so far.

Thank you for posting.
You should be able to request a copy of the assessment report around the middle of next week by contacting the DWP that is dealing with your claim.

In general the posts you will see on here are negative but you need to put that in context, whilst we deal with 100s of members posting at the same time about the problems they are having with their claims, there are actually 1000s of people being assessed at any point in time.
For the majority of people the system works.

Unfortunately most people only take to forums when they have problems ~ it is refreshing to read the success stories too. Good luck with your claim Catherine

I will take the weekend to chill then start again after the Easter hols although I have already asked for the assessment papers. Just perplexed at one aspect which would have given me the extra 2 points to have got standard care and that is no points for helping dress the upper body when I have had 2 surgeries in 12 months to repair massive rotator cuff tears, the first failed completely and the second was just six weeks ago. I have lost 50 percent of the muscle in my R/C and as a result of this and the MRCT i have been unable to raise my arm therefore needing help dressing for the past 2 1/2 years. Yet the nurse noted no muscle wastage ehh ! . I also have other health conditions but this is the only one mentioned in the initial letter. I'll keep trying x
