ESA support group was created by Kaydee
Sorry if this has been asked before
My wife has just been informed she will be in the Support group for esa (Contribution based) after her face to face a few weeks ago. My question is: How long does this last for? We are under the impression that it is for 12 months, but have been told by someone that it is ongoing.
thanks

Congratulations on the award, well done.
ESA is an indefinite award with regular reassessment. These can be done at any time from 3 months after the Decision to three years for the SG.
If you contact the DWP office dealing with her claim they should be able to tell the likely reassessment date, they use the prognosis from the assessment report, you can also ask for a copy of this to be sent so you understand how you qualified.
