If your form is already late then you must think about sending it as it is. There are no extensions available for returning the ESA50 and your claim can be closed if the form is not received on time.
As to the stairs, whilst you are not required to complete an activity without pain, if you experience significant discomfort doing the activity then you can argue that you cannot complete it from the point that you experience this.
