I have to re apply for ESA, and am wondering how much info I should include from last time. Two years ago I asked for a mandatory reconsideration and then a second one before completing the form for an appeal. At that point I was suddenly reassessed as having enough points for the support group. So, I'm not sure if I should enclose all that with this new application or simply start again from scratch. I've had several more procedures and am on stronger painkillers now, but my back pain is worse than it was two years ago. I am dreading going through all the hassle and stress again, but don't know how well it would go down to refer back to the last decision.
You should treat this as a brand new claim and include all information and evidence that you wish the assessor to see. Do not assume that they have any prior knowledge of you, they will probably not even know that you have a current claim.
May I suggest that you bookmark/favourite this on your web browser now so that you can find it easily in future? This will allow you to return with further questions or comments about your ESA without having to start a new topic each time. We ask members to keep everything relating to the same claim in one topic as it helps us enormously - and I hope you will find it useful too
