pip new form due to condition worsening... was created by glammy35
hello everyone,
my husbands condition has now worsened so much that his specialist has said it is now life threatening. He is currently on lower rate for both elements but as the original claim was coming up for review we had to inform them and have been sent another ' how your disability effects you' form. I have included letter from GP, letter from specialist consultant, letter from another consultant, future hospital apps, medication lists, future operations required as per the appt letters...test results, last 12 months medical records, photographs and a letter from a family member to explain how badly his disability effects him. Is this the sort of thing you mean by extra evidence?
I am terrified they will try and take this award off him as his illness is so bad his work have actually medically retired him so without his PIP to top up my wages we just won't manage. We are so stressed with the whole thing. Has anyone else been through this recently or can offer any advice?
thank you so much if you can xx

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

If you have been sent a new PIP2 to complete then you need to complete this in detail as if it is a new claim and supply all relevant evidence to support the claim, not just information in regard to his deteriorated condition, this includes evidence when he originally claimed PIP is it is still reflective of his problems.
Please make sure that you use the latest PIP Claim guide as there have been updates to the DWP guidance and changes to the Managing Therapy and Going Out activities.
If you have more questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.
