Got my assessment report need help was created by Mandy
Hi I just got my assessment report. Still waiting fir decision letter but the assessment report is recommending zero points. I know I should write something to defend myself but I have huge fatigue and cognitive difficulties. I am at the mercy of others to write stuff for me. Is there any charity or anything that can do this for me? My Drs practices won't write letters they told me DWP has to ask them for evidence so I have very little recent stuff. To top it off I just moved to a new county a week ago and have a new GP and have yet to meet my new psychiatrist. I feel doomed. Do I ask my old Drs that I started Pip with or my new Ines fir help? So confused. Any advice is appreciated.

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
It's unlikely that anybody will be able to offer help until a Decision is actually made. PIP Decisions are currently taking 2-4 weeks.
Try any charities that support your conditions and do an internet search for "welfare advice" with your postcode, town or county.
I doubt your old doctors will be willing to help you but there is no harm in asking them.

Thank you. Yes I have paid for membership and downloaded the guides but have difficulty understanding them and actually doing what they say. I spent three hours trying to write a MR letter yesterday and it was useless. I don't know where time went I had half a page. I did search with post code but only CAB came up, I am in rural area and cannot use public transport to get there anyway. Would it be good idea to request copies of my medical records while waiting for penny to drop? I only sent in one recent report from Jan and could send in older stuff if that would help.

Hi Mandy,
There is a sample MR letter in the PIP guide, if you do need one.
It certainly won't hurt to get your medical records but there might be a charge for this.
