PIP Appeal was created by Kimbychick
I have one day left to post my appeal and am still scared incase I lose everything.
After a MR I was awared 10 points daily Living and 4 points mobility.
I have asked for a paper based appeal due to my ill health. Can you please tell me if a big percentage of people have lost everything at appeal?
I really want to go ahead but would be so disappointed if they took my points away.
Thanks

The Tribunal Judge is required to warn the claimant if the panel is considering a reduction in an existing award, so that they can withdraw their appeal.

Thanks for your help.
Will they warn me even if it is a paper appeal and I am not there in person?

Yes they will write to you, ostensibly asking you to attend an Oral hearing, but the letter will also include a paragraph about your considering whether to continue with the appeal. another member has posted a similar letter they received.

Thanks again for your help.
I do not want to have an oral hearing if they write and ask me do I have the option to refuse?

No you don't need to attend if you do not want to.
