ESA/50 was created by Ian
I am in the SG for ESA having migrated to ESA from ICB (Contributions) in 2012. They said I would be re-assessed in 2014 so 3 yrs later to my surprise the ESA50 popped through the door. I filled it in with the help of the CAB and sent it off registered mail by the asking date. It arrived 3 days before the asking date.
I was surprised at one of the questions they asked were it said are you ex HM Forces. To which I replied Yes. Also date of discharge and which arm of the forces I was in. Why have they suddenly started asking this?
It has now been over a month and have heard nothing. My ESA CB finishes in Feb 2017 anyway when I hit 65.
I receive a 70% War Pension, with WPMS, and WP Unemployability Supplement which I get in place of the ESA.
Has any one any idea of how long I will have to wait for a reply. I live in the North East.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

I'm afraid I don't know why this question has appeared on the ESA50, this is the first version of the form that has included it.
It may be so the DWP can seek medical evidence from the MOD, but that is just a guess.

Well Well, I have just received a letter from the Centre for Health Assessments at Newcastle saying that I have to go for a f2f on the 1st June for my ESA (CB) not bad really as I havn't had a f2f since about 2008. I was put in the SG in 2012 after migrating to ESA from ICB, so expecting to go into the WG then appeal and see what happens. Not that bothered really as I lose this benefit in Feb 2018 when I hit 65. Also on War Pension UMSUPP. See what happens. te whole process from receiving the ESA 50 on 3rd March till f2f has taken 3 months.
