PIP medical was created by AlexG
Hi All
Well, i had my medical for PIP.
On the day i was well prepared, i had all my appointment letters, print out from doctors covering the last 2 years and specialist reports.
I arrived almost on time and when i went in, there was only 2 people waiting, so i felt quite relaxed.
We were waiting for about 20minutes and the woman came down and was very friendly. She explained she was late because she was reading my notes.
I was shown into the examination room and the person i was with sat facing the examiner.
She explained what the process was and what was going to happen. The screen was turned towards us and the questions started.
Overall it was quite easy and even though i was in pain from sitting to long i was told to just move around as i would in the house.
I was in the room for about 40 minutes the person with me was asked a few questions and that was it.
The nurse was very informative and told us her background so i was happy at that also.
At the end she said that she was going to recomend that i was not seen for the maximum time that she was aloud to give.
I have to say that this was probably the best medical i have had and i have had a medical every year for 5 years either ESA or PIP.
I would just like to say to everybody, be prepared, have your relivant paperwork and try and be calm and answer the questions with as much detail as possible.
In these stressful times, i would like to wish everybody all the luck in the world.
Thanks to this site and all the people who answer all our queries on the forum. Without your patience and understanding the whole process would be so much more difficult. So a BIG thank you guys.

You should be able to request a copy of the assessment report by contacting the DWP office dealing with your claim. PIP Decisions are currently taking about 2-4 weeks.
