I gather it is poissible to cancel once a F to F Does this need to be done before the day ? and if you cancel do they require particular reasons and do they rearrange there and then ?>
You can move the appointment once and must attend the second one or you risk your file being returned to the DWP as a no show and your claim likely being closed.
I would phone no later than the day before to avoid problems contacting the Assessment Provider and there systems being updated in time, however in an emergency you can contact at any time prior to the time of the appointment.
You will need to give a reason but they aren't going to check it is valid.
You should be able to rearrange the date (and venue) when you make the call, this is particularly important if you need to move it an office nearer to you, typically they can book up to three weeks in advance.
