HELPING YOU PREPARE FOR WORK IN THE FUTURE
You must come and meet your work coach.
Hi, i received a letter today, with the above on, i have completed the 2 year work program I am in WRAG ESA 10 years. So i will take a my carer with at local JP+.
On the work program i only went to intial ist meeting, where the woman herself told us she had MH issues, She was sympathetic would phone me every 5 months at home. She said
i should never have ever been referred to WP, and suggested applying for SG, which.i dont want for total fear of losing everything. i am sixty yo.
I am not in the THE JOBMARKET AT ALL. Have no desire to be, and quite frankly little desire at all. I ran my own business for 16 years. i have searched for answers but there seems little or vague info on this.
So what happens now?
Kinds Regards

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

At the end of their two years on the Work Programme all claimants are returned to the care of their local JC+ office, who will continue preparing them for a return to work subject to the limitations that result from their limitations.
I can't tell you what they will be as these will be specific to you, be aware that your advisor will know virtually nothing about you and your conditions so you will have to explain your problems.
As you are still entitled to ESA, you cannot be asked to work or to seek work.

Gordon thank you,
Re: you cannot be asked to work or to seek work.
i was under the impression
If you are on JSA or ESA-WRAG you can be mandated onto a Community Benefit Work Placement. This can happen more than once and the placements can be of any length, but they are supposed to be of benefit to the community.
i have been living in absolute fear about this, and would most certainly not cope or want this, it is struggle to leave the house.

Clearwater
Yes this is the case, but technically it is not classed as work, more importantly most of the companies (if not all by now) that were involved in the scheme have withdrawn due to the bad press that it incurred.

You can be mandated to do this and failing to do so can lead to a sanction. However as I said in my previous post, I would be very surprised if anybody is still offering this facility to the DWP and even if they are you cannot assume that you will be placed on it.
