ESA50 - providing additional information was created by sue77
Hi
May I check a second question please?
On the ESA50 form, I've ticked the boxes and given further information/examples some of which have to go on an accompanying sheets. In 2013, i also added some accompanying sheets with more detail about how my illnesses/conditions ( there's multiple )effected me as there was insufficient space , it seemed to be accepatable as was put in the support group. I can see it's changed & was going to do the same again so that all bases are covered and because there's so little space. Is this a good idea still? I also listed (in 2013) self help though I'm wondering now if this would be inappropriate for 2017.
Would be grateful to hear anyone's experiences.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

It is perfectly OK for you to type your answers and attach them as extra pages to the ESA50, just make sure that each page has your full name and NIN at the top and that they are numbered, we recommend "page X of Y" so that it is easy to see if pages are missing. Make sure you clearly mark on the form where your answers are and on the relevant page that you are answering question X.
Attach the pages to the back of the ESA50 using a staple or make a hole in the top left corner and use a treasury tag, string or ribbon to the form. The pages need to be easily detached so that they can be scanned by the DWP.
