Renewal Pip questions was created by sas401
I was awarded pip standard care component for two years which is now coming up for renewal again by august. I have a few queries I would be grateful for help for:-
1. I rely on ready meals for the majority of my meals, how can I prove this?
2. Do I need to treat the renewal as a complete new application (recieved new form, not a renewal form) and therefore do I send them copies of medical evidence that I had previously sent them?
3. How can I find someone to help me check through my form and make sure I am not submitting anything incorrectly?
Thankyou for your help

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

1. You need to turn this around and explain why you cannot prepare and cook a meal with fresh ingredients.
2. If you have received a new PIP2 then treat it as a new claim and complete the form in detail and submit any relevant evidence that you have even if you submitted it last time.
3. Try any charities that specialise in your conditions and do an internet search for "welfare advice" with your postcode, town or county.

Thankyou gordon.
I have explained in quite a bit of detail about why I cannot cook and prepare a meal using fresh ingredients but just wondering if there was any way to provide proof of this. With aids it is something they can see but with meals it is not so easy. Worried after last claim having to go to tribunal, dont want to face that again if I can help it.

Don't forget you need to explain why you cannot prepare a meal, why you cannot do so with the help of any suitable aids and why you cannot do it with the prompting, assistance or supervision from another person.
The more information you supply then the more credible your answers will be.
