how long before assessment? was created by a7medbadger
Hello Everyone,
I am new member here and would like to ask two questions, the first one is:
how long does it take before hearing about the assessment? as I submitted my PIP2 3 weeks ago.
the second one is: I ticked I do not need any help with navigating but after subscribing here I found that becuase I use my phone to navigate me so I deserve at least one point, so could i explain that to my assessor? or my say has no consideration after I ticked NO?
Yes, my problem is Bipolar2.
Manythanks,

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
Assessment times are quite variable at the moment, the DWP are quoting six weeks. We're still hearing of some areas where it is 2-4 weeks and there are also areas, particularly the East Midlands where it is longer, eight weeks or more.
I'm afraid you won't score for using your phone to help you navigate, see the PIP Claim guide for the Descriptors in the Going Out Activity.

Waiting times have continued to extend, some members are reporting that they have now waited 20 weeks. All you can do is contact the Assessment Provider to see if they have any idea of current times.
