Phone call from DWP

Is this how it normally works? I wasn't expecting a phone call and it has me wondering why.

It isn't normal for the DWP to phone a claimant in regard to their PIP, but this doesn't mean that it is something to worry about, the assessment report was very favourable, but you will need to wait for the Decision Letter.
You could try the DWP again, they are not allowed to tell the claimant the result until the letter has been sent, but once this has happened then they may tell you the result over the phone.

Well, I received the phone call next afternoon and John, the lad who called me mentioned my chat to Brian and said the decision was on it's way.
So, here's hoping!
