F2F - some queries? was created by luckydip
Great forum - thanks all for sharing your expertise/experiences.

My mum is having a F2F soon. She speaks little English, is confused and finds it hard to answer/concentrate when being asked a question even in our language. She also suffers from panic/anxiety disorders. When the assessor asks questions do I have to try and ask my mum for the answers or can I offer an answer? I'm worried she may not answer at all. I know its best if she answers but I don't want to waste our quota of time and find the assessment is rushed.

Does she need to take anything to the assesment? I will be taking a copy of the form but does she need to take all hers meds etc?

Many thanks

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explain where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

You don't actually mention the benefit?

Both our ESA and PIP Claim guides have a section that covers the assessment process and the questions she is likely to be asked.

I would contact the Assessment Provider about their providing a Translator for the assessment as you may have problems speaking on your mother's behalf.

The letter inviting her to the appointment will have a list of the things she needs to take, it is usually identification and her medication.

If you have further questions then please reply to this post and we will do our best to help.
